Ce 21 mars 2024, il publiait, toujours chez Deville, son cinqui\u00e8me roman\u00a0(<em class=\"\">On ne cloue pas les jeunes filles aux arbres<\/em>), un polar atypique o\u00f9 se c\u00f4toient ch\u00eanes centenaires et arbres g\u00e9n\u00e9alogiques, avec pour d\u00e9cor les m\u00e9andres sauvages de la Semois.<br>Son sixi\u00e8me roman n\u2019est plus un polar. Alors qu\u2019il pense s\u2019\u00eatre d\u00e9finitivement d\u00e9fait de l\u2019emprise de Davina, celle-ci revient \u00e0 la charge avec de solides arguments pour \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la lourde condamnation qui l\u2019attend.<br>Aid\u00e9e de sa redoutable avocate, Diane de la Roche, elle a mis au point une strat\u00e9gie qui semble imparable : elle semble maintenant en mesure de prouver qu\u2019elle n\u2019a pas tu\u00e9 Antoine Durnal. Et elle pense avoir trouv\u00e9 la coupable id\u00e9ale : Marie, qu\u2019elle soup\u00e7onne d\u2019avoir maniganc\u00e9 ce meurtre \u00e0 distance. Elle compte sur Rafaelo pour l\u2019aider. Mais lui s\u2019est jur\u00e9 qu\u2019il ne le ferait pas, en vertu du pacte secret qui le lie \u00e0 Marie. Sylvain est le dernier \u00e0 avoir pass\u00e9 un moment avec elle, entre caresses et \u00e9merveillement, allong\u00e9 entre les racines d\u2019un couple d\u2019arbres centenaires.
